TravelogueAsian Art Museum (San Francisco)March 23, 2003 Opened for just three days, Rash and I thoroughly enjoyed exploring this awesome museum. It's a must-see if you're into Asian art at all. I photographed the following largely with my brother in mind (he collects Buddhas). I'm also a Netsuke fan ("Net-skay"), and salivated over the museum's collection of these miniature sculptures. It was all good. See the highlights below and make plans to go. There are captions at the bottom of each photo in the slide show detailing a title of sorts, country of origin, dates, and media. A few of the large versions are pretty big, but everything falls between 32k and 120k. Start the slide type presentation (click-through)... ...or select any of the following thumbnails to see more: |
