Halloween Throwdown

October 28, 2006
Washington DC

Our friend Steve and his housemates had another terrific costume bash, this time in honor of Halloween. We invited our mountain neighbor Melissa, her friends Vertonia and Charlie, and Luisa met us there. It was so packed when we got there that is was almost impossible to walk through. I think about 600 people had been invited.

From left to right, here's Charlie as Jesus, me as a cat, V as a china doll, Twist as Ghengis Khan, and Melissa as a Mandrake plant (I think her chest tattoo is really lovely).

Luisa as the Green Fairy, with the great monster costume guy, and me:

Ginger as Little Red Riding Hood (left), Jesus and V, and the mafia and a disco dancer were present:

Spinach:

Priests for Foley:

When we finally departed at about 4 AM, we walked up Adams Morgan on the way to the car. Charlie was out front, and it was truly incredible how just about every single person we passed (there were a lot) exclaimed "JESUS!" Some wanted to shake his hand. Back at the party, folks wanted to smoke and drink with Jesus too. It was a good costume choice.

Where are these photos from?: These are photos others and I took at a Halloween Throwdown Party.
