Burning Man 2006 Photo Preview

This is only a taste of my upcoming full 2006 Burning Man Travelogue (with ~265 photos).

As stated on my journal entry:
Okay, I've heard from several people now that they've been checking my web site for my Burning Man travelogue / photos. Well, in addition to catching up with Camp Reality (I'm still behind), I've been working hard at culling and tweaking the best of well over 2000 pics (I deleted some on the plane, so a true count is impossible). Today I think I've finally finished that part of the task, selecting about 265 images. Now on to writing an account of this year's event, generating slides, and captioning the photos. I hope to have the first version of my BM Travelogue up this week. Lusty is mailing me her CD of photos, so I may pick and add a few more, which will totally mess with slide numbering and early bookmarking (sorry!). Whew. Anyway, 'til then, here's a Burning Man 2006 Preview page with a few of my favorite photos to wet your whistle:

The so-called "Belgian Waffle" wood structure.

Glimmer and Sunshine of Playatech and their piece "Fire in the Belly."

The Copper Ship crew and passengers watching a burn.

Rocky and Jellybean.

Parachuter landing on the playa.

Serpent Mother flaming.

The Emily tattoo.

Lusty, Cat, Sunshine and Glimmer.

The Yellow Submarine.

The Fear Trap (foreground) and Love Flower with many other things out and about on a burn night.

Two of our PDF Fire Conclave performers; fireworks at the Man and his platform.
