General update

My apologies for being away so long.

I visited Italy for nine days last month and had a fabulous time in Torino (Turin) and Florence. I will endeavor to post my travelogue sometime in the next couple of weeks. I have LOTS of good pictures, taken with the wonderful little digital camera my brother gave me (thanks Robert!).

Bigger news is that I was finally laid off from my job. This means I'll be leaving for the left coast this coming Monday, October 15th. I'll be traveling with my mom, driving cross country in my beloved Beetle. I'll look for work and a place to live on the San Francisco peninsula once I arrive, on or about October 20th. I'll be back East for both Thanksgiving and Christmas.
